My every other weekends have been playing out real nicely lately. I have managed to conjure up enough money to pay most of the bills and leave enough for myself to go out and have fun. Two weekends ago, it was a girl’s night out on campus, this past weekend, it was Red Rock Pub.

My ferret is a girl. I should of known with all the whining and attention whoring it’s been crying over lately. It cries in the morning the second it sees me get up out of bed, it whines the second it sees me come home and walk into the room. I feel like I just gave birth to that ferret the way it cries to be with me all the time. My baby wants me! I guess I should feel special.

So I peeled myself away from all the wedding hum-dum on TV to have lunch with my family at Hometown Buffet. I don’t see them often so my TV watching career will not suffer on my day off. My cousin RJ came along, and he is always a riot to be around. I’m always laughing so hard I think I’m going to pee my pants that’s how much of a trip he is.

“I’m on vacation!” I exclaimed to my boyfriend’s 6 year old daughter last Thursday night. I never thought I would be able to say something like that….ever, and not have any vacation days be affected at work. I was going to be off Friday, my usual weekend, and Monday. I’ll just think of this as my Easter vacation.
