For the most part, I do not look forward to Holidays. Yes, Christmas is fun and gifts, but it’s expensive when you are the one giving those gifts, and I’m too old to receive gifts so any holiday that requires the action of “giving”. I do not look forward to at all.
I do not look forward to holidays at all, with one exception…Halloween.
I love the concept of dressing up and becoming something else for the fun of it, even if its just for one night.
Back when I first started dating my boyfriend, we’d go to Halloween bar parties the weekend before or after Halloween. The first Halloween that we spent together, we went out to a bar and I was a “sexy french maid” and everyone loved it!
Of course, I was skinnier, and that costume fit nice. It probably doesn’t look too flattering now. I bought that costume from an local Halloween costume store. It was beneficial for me at the time because I wasn’t really busy and was always out shopping just because that was the only fun thing I could think to do at the time.
I haven’t done that in a few years because that “evil bill monster” poked it’s evil head into my life. I’m slowly starting to get rid of him and now I want to get a Halloween costume and have fun again and go out and party.
